Thank you so much for giving financially to the Salida Vineyard Church, and partnering with us in the work God has called us to! We also greatly appreciate your willingness to worship God in the area of finances—and worship is exactly what you are doing when you give.
Time and again in Scripture we see Jesus address money and possessions as a central issue in a person’s spiritual maturity. For instance, Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, “You can’t worship two gods at once. Loving one god, you’ll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt for the other. You can’t worship God and Money both.” That means whenever you give, you actively de-throne money as a false god in your life, and enthrone God as your true Lord and Master. And that is worship!
We consider use of the money you gave in worship to God as a sacred trust. Our board of elders does our best to use this money in a healthy, wise, financially transparent and God-honoring way. When you give, your generosity goes directly toward supporting the overall ministry of the Salida Vineyard Church—from the crafts supplies for our children, to keeping the lights on, to funding our compassion ministry.
